GRADUATION CEREMONY
From: Chad Abdullah
Subject: School Update
Received: Thursday, 30 March, 2012
Hello Anne,
Greetings..
I'm so happy to inform you that today we are having our graduation ceremony. I have attached the photos of the students who will receive their certificate of completion.
The other, we had a special meeting for the parents to give them certificates for attending the whole year meetings for them that we conduct. It was a fulfilling tilast me for the parents and also for all of us. God is so good. I have attached a photo of that meeting too.
Also, Sunday, we had a final meeting for the parents and we shared to them that they need to make a serious decision to surrender their lives to Jesus and to make a choice to serve the Lord just like what Joshua told the families of Israel. As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord. We did have a good response from all of the parents. Hopefully, they will mature in Christ as we continue to follow them up.
Thanks again for your life and the Hosea Ministries International.
Please share this report to those who are praying for us.
God bless you all.

GRADUATION DAY
From: Chad Abdullah
Subject: School Update
Received: Tuesday, 16 April, 2011
Hi Anne,
God is so good! Surely He fills His children with His goodness.
Perhaps, the most exciting news is that we found out that most of our
graduates in 2 years time are achieving well in the public grade
schools. Our graduate, Apple Mae Suquinto, has been a consistent first
honors of the top public school here. Cherrie Ann Lubina, another
graduate from last year, is also first honors at 2nd largest grade
school here. All others belong to the top ten of their schools. We
indeed give glory to God. We share the same God's blessings(fruits)
with other Hosea School in the Philippines.
I hope you will be encouraged by the photos.
God bless you and the Hosea Team.

FEBRUARY 2011
From: Chad Abdullah
Subject: School Update
Received: Tuesday, 1 February, 2011
Hi Anne,
I'm happy to share with you two stories.
Mr. Polds Balangue is a father who can't control his vices. His family
and neighbors have found him to be a nuisance to the community. His wife, Emelyn, has been praying that he
would become sober. Their son, Leo James, is a student of the school.
During one of the parents meeting in November 2010, Mr. Polds heard the
good news that he can be forgiven by God if he would only believe in
Jesus Christ. The Spirit of God worked in his heart and he finally gave
his life to Jesus Christ. Since then, the whole family has been coming
to church for two months now and is actively involved in church
activities. According to Emelyn, her husband has been sober since then.
God be praised!
Alfie and Ella, Ariel and Emerose are parents of the school. They are
couples who are living together without marriage. Because of the regular
parents meetings, they were convicted of their sins, returned to the
Lord, and decided to make their relationship right before God. Their
problem is that they could not afford a wedding. And so, because of
this, we decided to help these two couples. Last December 2010, we
conducted a double wedding in the church. We helped with the preparation
and generous members of the church helped with their needs. The couples
were so blessed and encouraged. They have now committed to join the
church. One of them,Ariel, had desired to become a pastor someday.

OUTREACH TO MOTHERS OF PUPILS
From: Chad Abdullah
Subject: School
Received: Thursday, 21 October, 2010
Hello Anne,
Shalom. All the best from our loving God.
The school is about to take a semester break this October 25-November 3.Let me share to you about Sister Nene Japson and the Obaredes family.
Sister Nene, a church member, approached me at before the school was just starting this year. She told me how the Lord has been placing a burden on her heart to minister to the mothers of the students. So I got excited and prayed for her and released her to do it. So, whenever I come to the school every morning, I would see Nene talking to the mothers. This went on for several months. One day, Nene came to me and told me that she is becoming frustrated that she cannot find any fruit from what she is doing. I told her to be faithful and encouraged her to build trust and friendship among the mother. And so she continued...
Mrs. Obaredes is a mother who became a friend of Nene. One day, Mrs Obaredes approached me because of a big problem she is encountering with her son who is in college. This son is not anymore coming to class because he became addicted to video games. And even the tuition fees that they gave to him was spent for video games. I promised to help her and her family through this crisis. A week after, their problem was solved. The son repented and promised to continue school.
I was surprised when Mrs. Obaredes came to me and said that she has required all her 3 children (college and High schools) to join our church. After all these, I called Nene and said, this is the fruit of your labor. You stayed faithful. You won the trust of Mrs. Obaredes and because of this, we are seeing a whole family, one by one, come to the Lord. God be praised!

AUGUST SCHOOL CELEBRATION

Hello Anne,
It's good to know that you're back in Australia now. Hope you get all the rest you need from the tour you had.
The school is doing well. The children just had their first major examination. The teachers are active in the church and I am seeing that they are serious in their own walk in the Lord.
|
Tomorrow will be an exciting time for the children because we will be bringing them outside the school for an educational field trip. The parents are actively joining the twice a month meetings for them. The process is slow but sure.
Ihave attached latest photos of the children. This was taken during a celebration of the Filipino language, August 27, 2010. I was able to share with them the story of Babel where all languages of the world came from. The parents also had their moments of fun and fellowship.
Anne, thank you so much for all your hard work. I remember Jesus talking to Peter, before He was resurrected. 3 times He asked, Peter, do you love me? Love compels all of us to do the unique task He has entrusted each one.
God bless you and your team.

THIRD ANNIVERSARY

From: Chad Abdullah
Subject: Celebration
Received: 26 July 2010
Hello Anne,
How is your tour so far? You might not be back in Australia yet, but I'm already sending you this email.
Here are latest photos of the children taken during the 3rd anniversary celebration of the church.
Kiv Calilung is one of the students who performed in the anniversary. He has a problem with his health and needs to undergo operation. Few months ago, Kiv's parents brought him to church. We prayed hard for KIV. Last June we were all happy to see that KIV's condition has improved dramatically. He has become active and turned out to be a very witty boy. He is enrolled as a nursery in our school.
A mother witnessed how their neighbour slowly changed his attitude. This neighbour is a problem in the village and would harass the neighbourhood whenever he gets drunk. Now this man is sober and clean. This man attends our meetings. He is a father of our student. Praise God for using the school for transformations like this.
The new teachers are doing well. Shirley and Ollie are assisting them effectively.
God bless you.

SCHOOL YEAR STARTS AGAIN
From Chadwick Abdullah
Received: Friday, 2nd July, 2010
Subject: School has started
Hi Anne,
By God's grace, the school opened again last June 15, 2010. We have 2 new teachers and they are very teachable. Teachers Shirley and Ollie are overseeing them since they are already experienced.
We now have 58 students and there are more parents asking us to accommodate their children. We have limited the number of students each room because of the size of the classrooms. Another good thing is that majority of the enrollments are new. This is an opportunity for us to minister to new parents.

The old students have graduated. They are now in 1st grade. We checked how they are performing. We praise God that they are really doing very well while all other students from other schools find it hard to read and write. Justine, our 1st honors, perfected her 1st major examination in her class.
On July 18, our church will celebrate our 3rd anniversary. Our theme is this. Encountering Christ as we move forward. Our theme verse is found in Job 42:5.
Blessing to you and Hosea Team. We regularly pray for you and your endeavors.
