THE CUESTA FAMILY

This is a family who earn their living through Hosea fishing boat.
The father is Alexander Cuesta (who is not in the photo because he was out fishing!), mother is Monete Villarama and their children Nedelyn (10 years old), Alexis (6) and Maricel (4).
Their house is a nipa hut, made of bamboo with a grass roof. It has divisions with another three families living under the same roof. They have no running water for themselves but they use the water pump of their neighbours. It's hard for them to earn money to cover their daily expenses and that's why they consider the Hosea Boat as such a blessing and great help for them. This is where they get their money they need to buy rice and provide for the needs of their three kids. |
